My garden talks to me.

Stories and reflections on the relationship between gardens and their custodians.

Welcome to the site

Hello there and welcome to “My garden talks to me”. My name is Dave, and in constructing this site, I’ve tried to keep things as simple as possible. It is designed to both interest and amuse, to stimulate reflection and offer insights into how 30 years as a psychologist has impacted upon my relationship with gardens and gardening. I hope that you enjoy your visit (however fleeting it might be).

Structure

There are 5 main sections. In “History & Galleries” I will document in detail (with words & pics), the development of the garden over the last 30 years. In “Stories” I will creatively explore some of the events/experiences that the garden has provided over the last 30 years. In “Reflections” I will focus on how gardens and gardening offer a deeper understanding of psychological processes that may shape who we are. In “Reviews” I will review books I’ve read and places I’ve visited. In “Other writing” I will post non-gardening copy from previous writing projects.
